There’s so much to do during the 3 days the Point Grey Fiesta is on. The Fiesta kicks off with a Parade along West 10th Avenue and the fun continues all weekend at Trimble Park. Visit the stage, wander through the exhibitor rows and enjoy awesome carnival rides.
Point Grey Village is the perfect destination to meet friends for coffee, to have a family dinner, or browse around in one-of-a-kind specialty shops. There are a number of different shops & businesses so that local residents don’t need to leave the neighbourhood.
It all started during the Expo ’86 when the Centennial Committee at City Hall offered grants to develop ways to celebrate their community’s cultural history. Since 1986 a dedicated team of volunteers has organized this popular yearly event for you, supported by many sponsors.
With our mascot Ole The Bull we are honouring Jose Maria Narvaez, the first European to explore the waters off what is now known as Spanish Banks in 1791. In the early years the festival developed a Spanish theme and Ole The Bull became its official mascot.

Saturday Night Fiesta
Come join us for the inaugural Saturday Night Fiesta!
Following the Stage Performances in Trimble Park, local favourites Lulu and The Long Riders will entertain us through the late afternoon and early evening.
Upholding our commitment to our community, the band was the obvious choice to kick off this new Fiesta event – Lulu and The Long Riders are comprised of two staff members from Queen Mary Elementary School, Darryl Reimer and Greg Weir, and acclaimed local sculptor and lifelong Point Grey resident, singer Louise Weir (who was recently featured in Point Grey Living Magazine). Appealing to all ages, the band will take a break from their regular local gig at The Wolf and Hound (Broadway and Alma) and play from their extensive repertoire of crowd-pleasing tunes till evening falls.
So bring Grandma, bring the kids and enjoy Trimble Park’s unrivalled views – why not grab a take out meal from the Carnival (new this year, Whistler Wood Fired Pizza!) or any of our local restaurants on West 10th and make a picnic of it!
Fiesta at the Park
Come down to Trimble Park and enjoy a fun-filled day of festivities for the whole family! Attractions include park performers such as music, clowns, face painting and supervised games beside the wading pool. Exhibitors, vendors and the carnival fill the park with sights and sounds. All park events are free of charge, carnival rides excepted. The carnival operates all weekend.
Need a break? A quiet refuge is available at St Helen’s Church just across the street.
